Introduction

Post-Remediation Verification (PRV) is the process of ensuring that proper cleaning of a water loss or microbial contamination was completed and that cross-contamination into non-work areas did not occur. PRV is a necessary step in medium and larger projects and those where occupants are either sensitive or immunocompromised. PRV is also necessary in projects where the property is being sold and proper documentation is required.

What We Do

Our PRV services are unique. We are able to use microscopes and other tools to provide real-time, immediate surface and air sample results. While other consultants must charge per sample and wait days for laboratory results, our sampling fees are usually free and the results are immediate.

Only a handful of microbiologists across the county can provide these services.

First, we complete a visual walk-through of the work and non-work areas. We assess the installation of containment provisions and ensure cross-contamination of debris from the work areas did not impact the non-work areas.

Second, we conduct the appropriate surface and air sampling to determine the levels of microbial debris in the work and non-work areas. If additional cleaning is required, we communicate with the contractor. Following the re-cleaning, we conduct an additional assessment and sampling if necessary.

We then compile a detailed report of our findings and sample analyses. We are available to communicate our findings to interested parties via email, phone conversations, and presentations.
